Glossary
Quantity slab
A quantity band that carries its own rate, so larger orders price differently from small ones.
In short
A quantity band that carries its own rate, so larger orders price differently from small ones.
Slabs exist because setup cost is fixed and spreads differently across a hundred pieces and ten thousand. Quoting without them either loses small orders money or loses large orders entirely.
Slab errors are the most common pricing mistake on multi-item orders, because they are applied from memory when quoting quickly.
Where SysOMS handles it
Slabs are part of the price book, so a quantity change reprices the line automatically.
