Answers, without the sales gloss.
Is SysOMS an ERP?
No. SysOMS runs the commercial line from enquiry to a dispatch-ready order, marketing, sales, quotations, orders, production, quality, inventory and dispatch. It does not raise invoices, keep ledgers, compute outstanding balances or file GST. Your ERP keeps doing that, and pulls the order and dispatch data from SysOMS.
Does SysOMS do invoicing, accounting or GST?
Deliberately not. The handoff is a key-scoped read-only pull API used by SysMarq, Tally, Busy or your own ERP to fetch orders, order lines, production orders, dispatches and quality outcomes.
Do we need a customer purchase order to book an order?
No. An order can be booked from an accepted quotation or directly. A customer PO reference can be attached when it exists, but it is not a blocker to getting the plant moving.
What is the Sales Admin review gate?
It is the handshake between sales and production. Before an order reaches the shop floor, a Sales Admin checks the specification, the rate against the price book, credit and available stock, and commits a date. Nothing reaches production unreviewed.
Can salespeople quote whatever rate they like?
No. Rates come from price books scoped by product, customer class, region, quantity slab and delivery basis. Anything below the floor needs an approval that is recorded, not a phone call.
How does the plant know what to make?
Specification templates per product family produce a typed, buildable specification on the order line. Production works from that specification through job cards, material issue against the BOM and production entries, not a WhatsApp forward.
What happens if quality holds a batch?
Held material cannot be packed or dispatched, regardless of who is asking. The hold is visible to sales on the order, so the customer conversation happens before the delivery date is missed.
Do we have to move everything at once?
No. Most plants start with enquiries, quotations and orders to close the commercial gap first, then bring production, quality and dispatch onto the same record.
How long does setup take?
Account access is provisioned within 24 hours of payment. The guided six-step configuration, products, specification templates, price books, roles and approval thresholds, is usually completed with your team in 3-7 business days. Data migration, where purchased, takes 7-15 business days.
Is our data separated from other companies?
Yes. Every record is scoped to your company and protected by row-level rules enforced in the database, with role-based restrictions inside your company on top.
Can customers see their own orders?
Yes. There is a scoped customer portal so buyers can see their orders and dispatch status without anyone in your office fielding status calls.
What does it cost?
Pricing is per plant and per named user, in Indian Rupees, with one-time services quoted separately. Every engagement starts with a written quotation, and your first purchase carries a 7-day no-questions-asked refund.
